Born and raised in New Orleans, LA , Dreux grew up and attended school in the historic French Quarters where he was exposed to music and fine arts at an early age. Dreux started singing at the age of 5 and started taking piano lessons at the age of 7. Dreux's musical journey started from there and he has become a world renowned singer, songwriter and music mogul. He is an accomplished performing artist who has worked with many notable and award winnng artist such as Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, Bebe & CeCe Winans, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kelly Price, Daryl Coley and many others. Dreux has traveled the world performing his music from his demo/sampler project released in 2007 and his notable hit single "A Better Day" released in 2010. In 2021, Dreux partnered with his longtime friend to start his podcast show, Dreux & Mia Podcast Show.
Dreux grew up in New Orleans around his grandmother who taught him how to cook at a very young age. Dreux is cousin to New Orleans famed chef Austin Leslie, "Creole-Soul" Pioneer chef. His aunt was the founder and proprietor of New Orleans popular restaurant Chez Helene in the historic Treme neighborhood in New Orleans. Dreux received his culinary license and certification in 2006 after moving to Dallas, TX. He also started his catering companies that quickly grew. He has now built several award-winning catering and restaurant concepts and has also built his Soulful Chef Brand where he host cooking shows and has authored two cookbooks. He is also working on rebuilding and rebranding his Soulful Chef culinary manufacturing line and spice company.
Dreux has been able to own and operate several successful businesses including Dreux Antoine Restaurant Group (DARG), Jitow Entertainment Group, Soulful Chef Company, DAL Construction Company, and DALCO Property Investment Corp.
Dreux has spent most of his life giving and helping others succeed and thrive in life. In 2020, he officially founded his non-profit organization A Better Day Foundation. Since A Better Day Foundation was founded, Dreux's non-profit has been able to help feed over 2.500 individuals and has also done much in the mental health segment. His foundation focuses on helping to end homelessness, housing inequities, food insecurities and rebuilding communities.
